Hop up on your imaginary horse drawn vehicle to take a nostalgic journey back in time. You can now pass through the longest covered bridge in the USA whose historic framework is just as it was when built in 1875 with some repairs, but no structural changes because it did not have to be upgraded to meet modern vehicle standards.
The fact that it is closed to vehicle traffic makes it ideal for exploring the many facets that make up a covered bridge. One can even go under the bridge if the river is not too high.
Please cross this bridge at a walk because when the horses trot it is thought to cause vibrations which can damage the bridge.
